Indianapolis Indiana office takes on a new challenge

How long does an appraisal take? For the past two weeks, 32 Royal United Mortgage LLC employees have been participating in the challenge. The challenge encourages employees to engage in physical activity while competing against other coworkers. The requirements include 30 minutes of daily physical activity, a daily 1-minute plank, and a daily 10-minute walk for a period of 2 weeks.

In order to fulfill the 30 minutes of daily physical activity, participants had to attend at least 2 onsite fitness classes a week which were led by our fitness instructor, Laura Burdick. Body weight strength training, boot camp, and yoga were offered as onsite fitness classes.

Wade Miller, a participant, said this about the challenge, “I have definitely enjoyed the fitness challenge and classes. No matter what kind of shape you are in you are going to get a workout, and it is great to be able to be doing it with fellow coworkers. It’s great to be a part of an organization that not only cares about professional development, but also wellness and personal growth.”

Another active participant, Dan McMullen expressed his new found interest in yoga, “I appreciate that Royal United provides the opportunity for onsite fitness programs! While, I had never done yoga before, I have come to really enjoy it. The yoga-based workouts are intense, but simultaneously available for all fitness levels.”

Overall, the challenge was a success and we were excited to see our employees bettering themselves through physical activity!
