Random Acts of Kindness

February 14, 2019 by Royal United

The Royal United Mortgage community outreach team was very busy yesterday. The day started by shopping for the Titans Table at Arsenal Tech High School. We try to compliment what Gleaners Food Bank delivers by bringing perishable items. Yesterday we were able to get oatmeal, apples, bananas, oranges, eggs, whole chickens, bacon and sausage. The pantry serves 70 families on average so we filled up 4 carts. Once that was delivered and put away we returned to work to find our most successful blood drive in progress. A strong showing was crucial given the current shortage at the Indiana Blood Center. At 4 pm we headed to Lincoln Apartments to prepare for dinner and Bingo Night with our friends there. Lincoln Apartments is supportive housing for homeless and disabled Veterans in Central Indiana. We also brought food and hygiene products to stock their pantries. Thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday a great success!
