On June 17th, BroaRoyal United Mortgage LLC_RUN317d Ripple Village represented the perfect background for Royal United Mortgage LLC employees to get out to not only engage in physical fitness but to also show their support for our outreach partner, School on Wheels.

In between volunteers and runners, Royal United Mortgage LLC represented in a BIG way at RUN(317) having over 60 employees take part in the event. For some it was their first time walking or running a 5K and the hard work and training they put in really paid off.

Everyone that knows me knows that I am the last person that would be doing something like running a 5K – but not only was I one of the first Royal United Mortgage LLC women to cross the finish line, I also completely surprised myself at what I am truly capable of. It was a great experience!”

-Tricia Owens, Senior Loan Advisor

“While I don’t consider myself a runner, I enjoy being outside and staying active. For several weeks prior to this run, I trained with my colleague who runs regularly. Our company encourages healthy lifestyles and I enjoy participating in events like RUN(317) which is a great team building experience. I’m also happy to support our partner School on Wheels through this fundraiser that helps children in our community who are impacted by homelessness.”

-Kati Taylor, Director of Marketing & Communications

Those that volunteered had a great time as well.

“It’s always great to get out of the office and come together for a good cause. We are used to doing it every day within the office walls, but to see the passion my co-workers have for helping others outside of the office as well is really refreshing”

Sam Perry, Loan Advisor

“I volunteered as a course marshal and it was a blast! I got to cheer on my co-workers and they appreciated the encouragement. But what I found more surprising is how friendly everyone who participated was. I can’t even count how many people thanked me for the cheers and just for helping operate the course.”

Evan Shortridge, Loan Advisor

Team building, exercise, and the support for those in the community; this race had it all!
