Run (317) For School on Wheels
Running or walking 3.17 miles might not sound like everyone’s favorite activity but on June 18th Royal United Mortgage LLC employees volunteered and ran in the first in a series of 5Ks benefiting local charities.
The first charity to benefit was one of Royal United Mortgage LLC’s corporate partners, School on Wheels. Their mission it is to provide one-on-one tutoring and educational advocacy for school-aged children impacted by homelessness. Help School on Wheels break the cycle of homelessness through education.
Those who volunteered did so by assisting with everything from packet pick up, handing out water at the water station, and directing over 1300 runners on the course. For some it was the first time they have run/ walked in a sponsored race environment and the achievement of crossing the finish line (regardless of their time) was a personal victory!
