Transitioning with Royal United Mortgage LLC

August 22, 2017 by elementthree

One of the things I like best about Royal United Mortgage LLC is that everyone wants to see and help you achieve your dreams. Many people dream about being one of the top Loan Advisors or someday being a Vice-President of Sales. No matter what your dream might be, the people at Royal United Mortgage LLC are there to helCareerp.

My dream was a little bit outside of the box compared to most, but that did not stop my coworkers and supervisors from encouraging me along the way. Since I have a background in communications and promotions, my dream has always been to work within the communication department of a company.

My story starts off just like everyone else’s, but the timeline my story takes is definitely not the norm. I started at Royal United Mortgage LLC back on June 26, 2017, as a Loan Apprentice getting prepared to take the Federal SAFE Exam. I studied hard and was ready to begin my adventure in sales as I would work my way up to a Loan Advisor, but unfortunately I failed the exam by 2-percentage points. As this is one of the hardest tests in America, to be so close was gutting. I was completely devastated and was not sure of what the future held. I knew I would be able to take the exam again 30-days later, but I did not know what the plan was for me at Royal United Mortgage LLC.

The next day I came into work to find out what my future would look like, I was extremely grateful and relieved when I was offered a position as a full-time Loan Apprentice. This new role meant I would be supporting the Loan Advisors by helping them call upon leads and find out what they were hoping to accomplish with a loan. I was placed on one of the top-5 teams in the company and knew that this was going to be a great opportunity to learn from some of the best!
Now this is where my timeline becomes different than the typical timeline. After a little over a month, as a full-time Loan Apprentice, I got an email about a position opening with the Engagement Team as a Content Specialist. After reading the job description, I quickly realized that this position would be a great fit. I spoke with both of my supervisors and they both encouraged me to submit my resume. About a week after I had applied for the job, I had an interview and was subsequently offered the position!

I am very excited to start handling the daily social media, blogging, and overall content aspects for Royal United Mortgage LLC. I know that I would not be in this dream position if not for the support and encouragement from those around me here at Royal United Mortgage LLC.
